Born July 31, 1973, Tehran, Iran - American writer.
The writer’s father is a famous American scientist and corporate strategist Richard Rumelt. The maternal grandfather is horror film producer Max Rosenberg. Before reaching the age of 10, she managed to visit France, England and Switzerland. Cassandra graduated from high school in Los Angeles. In high school, she began writing stories, mainly for the entertainment of her classmates.
Since her student years, she has lived in Los Angeles and New York, where she worked in various magazines and publications, including the largest film magazine The Hollywood Reporter. She began work on her novel City of Bones in 2004, inspired by the cityscape of Manhattan.
Claire is friends with the writer Holly Black, with whom she has written some of the stories and the Magisterium series. Also, the writers have repeatedly mentioned the characters of each other's books in their works.
Claire was considered a popular figure in the fandom, her name appearing in several newspaper articles.
