Born 14 January 1934 - English theater, film, television and radio actor.
He became interested in the acting profession at the age of 14. After leaving the Royal Air Force, Richard studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art from 1954 to 1956 and graduated with a silver medal.

During his half-century career, the actor has played more than 120 roles in film and television. His most famous works are the films "Phantom" ("Fathom"), "Inhabitants of the hills" ("Watership Down"), "Much Ado About Nothing", "Peter Pan" ) and the series "The Master of the Valley" ("Monarch of the Glen"), "Doctor Who" ("Doctor Who"), "The Good Life".
Brears is also known as a voice actor and radio host.
In 2008, Richard Breers was diagnosed with emphysema. The disease progressed rapidly, and on February 17, 2013, the actor died at his home in London.
