Born April 2, 1973, San Juan, Puerto Rico is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, fashion model, actress, producer and screenwriter.

After high school, Rosalyn entered the University of Puerto Rico with a degree in marketing, but after three years she dropped out and started singing and dancing.

In the early nineties, Sanchez took part in the Que Vacilon comedy variety show, which had great success outside of Puerto Rico. After that, she moved to New York and in 1992 made her first film appearance in a cameo role in the comedy Captain Ron, starring Kurt Russell. In 1993, Rosalyn won the Miss Puerto Rico Petite title, and a year later, Miss America Petite.

As an actress, Sanchez began her career with a role in the daytime soap opera How the World Turns in 1996-97. She then starred in the syndication series Los Angeles Glory and appeared on the big screen in the 1999 film The Robbery with Jamie Foxx. Also in 1999, she landed her first regular primetime role on national television in the short-lived Ryan Caulfield: Year One.

A breakthrough in Sanchez's career was her role in the 2001 comedy film Rush Hour 2, leading her to starring roles in Adventure at Sea, Clayton Base and Edison. In 2005, she wrote and starred in the film Amarilis. Sanchez is also known as a singer. In 2003, her musical album Borinquena was released, consisting of twelve compositions in the Latin American genre.

From 2005 to 2009, Sanchez played the role of FBI Special Agent Elena Delgado on the TV series Without a Trace. On the big screen, she found success with her roles in the commercially successful films Game Plan (2007) and Law of Valor (2012). In 2013, Rosalyn Sanchez returned to television with a regular role in the Lifetime comedy series Treacherous Maids, where she plays aspiring singer Carmen Luna.
