Born June 27, 1951, Minneapolis, Minnesota - American actress, best known for her roles on television.
Duffy has appeared in more than sixty films and television series during her career. She is best known for her role in the comedy series Newhart (1983-1990), for which she received seven consecutive Emmy nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Television Series, as well as one Golden Globe nomination .
After the end of Newhart, she starred opposite George Clooney on the short-lived sitcom Baby Babble, and then joined the cast of the sitcom Making a Woman (1991-1992). From 1993 to 1995, she starred in the sitcom Mommy, which was canceled after two seasons. In the years that followed, she mostly made rare guest appearances on TV series such as Sabrina the Little Witch and Reba, and also performed supporting roles in films.
