Born November 8, 1953, Chicago, Illinois is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and actor.
He began his career as an animator of the film "The Fox and the Dog" (1981), during the production of which he first collaborated with his future partner Ron Clements.
In 1985, John collaborated with his partner Ron Clements on the script for the animated film The Black Cauldron.
In 1986, Musker made his directorial debut, along with Clements and two other collaborators, in The Great Mouse Detective.
Musker and Clements later produced famous animated films such as The Little Mermaid (1989), Aladdin (1992), Hercules (1997) and Treasure Planet (2002, Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature) ...
In 2009, a new collaboration between Musker and Clements "The Princess and the Frog" was released.
