Born March 26, 1973, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - American actor.
At the age of five he began performing at the Guthrie Theater. He attended the Annunciation Catholic School and, after receiving a Conners Foundation scholarship, joined the Children's Theater Company. For some time he worked in a supermarket with his brother. After graduating from high school, the Academy of Holy Angels, in Richfield, Knight entered the University of Minnesota, which he soon dropped out, returning to performing at the Guthrie Theater.
After moving to New York, Knight began performing on the stage. In 2001, he made his Broadway debut in Noise Behind the Scene opposite Patty Lupont. Knight was nominated for a Drama Desk for his role in the production of Scattergood.
Knight was a regular cast member of the short-lived CBS series Charlie Lawrence.
In 2005, Knight joined Shonda Rhimes' Grey's Anatomy as Dr. George O'Maley, for which he received a Screen Actors Guild Award (along with the rest of the cast) and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Actor second plan in a drama television series. " He left the show after five seasons.
In the fall of 2009, he sang the role of Leo Frank in the musical Parade at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles with Lara Pulver. In the fall of 2010 he returned to Broadway with a role in the play "Life in the Theater" by David Mamet, where his partner was Patrick Stewart.
