Born in 1980, Hirvaun, Rhondda-Keenon-Tav, UK - film director, producer and screenwriter.
Graduated from Glamorgan University (now the University of South Wales) with a master's degree in film drama. The first works of the director G. Evanas are the low-budget films "Samurai Monogatari" and "Steps". After them, Gareth was hired as a freelance director for the documentary film about the Malay martial art Pencak Silat. In the course of his work, Evans noticed a young but very talented student Iko Juvais among the trainees at the school of martial arts, who, according to Evans, impressed him with his sharpness, professionalism and speed of movement. Gareth invited him to star in a film about martial arts and play the main role there, to which Iko agreed, but as the actor himself recalls, he did not take this offer seriously, since at that moment he worked as a simple courier and did not even dream of becoming a film actor. However, films released with the participation of Iko Juvais in 2011 and 2014, were highly praised by both critics and viewers.
