Born October 9, 1960 is an American actress who has appeared in several dozen television shows and films. She is best known for her female lead in the 1985 film Fletch .
Wheeler-Nicholson was born in New York and has played over fifty roles during her career. On the big screen, she was prominent in the films "Mrs.Soffel" (1984), "The Man-Scheme" (1990), "Toomstone: The Legend of the Wild West" (1993), "Frank and Jesse" (1995), "Denise's Call" ( 1995), Risking Life (1997), Battles of Soldier Kelly (2003), Fast Food Nation (2006) and Parkland (2013) .
On television, Wheeler-Nicholson starred in the short-lived sitcom Beverly Hills Buntz (NBC, 1987-1988), and in 2001 joined the ABC daytime soap All My Children. From 2007 to 2011, she had a minor role on Friday Night Lights, and in 2014 and 2015, she appeared as the evil mother Scarlett O'Connor on the TV series Nashville. In addition to this, Wheeler-Nicholson has been a guest on Seinfeld, The X-Files, Sex and the City, NYPD, Law & Order, and Boston Lawyers.
