Bonfire is a German rock band whose name translates to Bonfire. In the eighties, she was one of the three most difficult export German teams. They play in the genre of heavy metal. The band's style is more focused on the North American market, as there are many rock ballads in it.

The collective was formed in 1972, but previously it was called Cacumen. The founder was Hans Ziller, who took his brother Karl and friends, the same teenagers as he was, into the group. Over the next six years, periodically changing the line-up, the group performed in their hometown and even became a little popular among the local population. In 1978 the line-up of the group was somewhat settled with the arrival of Klaus Lessmann. The guys released the song Riding Away and began to try themselves outside the city. To this end, the team performed in schools and clubs, as well as in parking lots. But they could not achieve so much - a contract with a recording studio that is unknown to anyone. After that, Karl left the group.

But the number of people who wanted to watch Bonfire began to grow, which as a result allowed them to enter into an agreement with BMG in 1985. Since then, the composition of the group, the image and the name itself, at the request of the studio, have been radically changed. Already in 1986, the first album Don't Touch the Light was released, which received little success.

Fire Works became the band's most successful album, and even now there is the opportunity to listen online to Bonfire from this period, namely the 1987 records, which were certified gold as a result. This was a breakthrough for the musical group in Germany, which brought fame to the guys outside the country.

Bonfire, on their 20th anniversary, delighted the fans with an anniversary tour, as well as the release of a new album Double X, which also received a live version called Double Vision. In 2008 the guys decided to create their own rock opera The Rauber, based on the work of Friedrich Schiller. Due to the frequent change of members, late career start and management problems, the group did not manage to become the grandeur of the rock scene of the world, because hard rock had already begun to go out of fashion. But, nevertheless, the group is recognizable, has a lot of fans, a unique style and a desire to develop. Moreover, in 2015 Ziller completely changed the composition of the team.
