Born December 8, 1949, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - American film director, screenwriter and producer.
Graduated from American University and moved from Washington to Los Angeles. In 1980 she made her debut as a screenwriter for the film Private Benjamin. As a result, Nancy Meyers received an Oscar nomination in the Best Screenplay category. Over the next twenty years, she and her husband created many films, acting as a screenwriter.
In 1998, after her divorce, Nancy Meyers made her directorial debut with The Parent Trap (1998 film). But her finest hour as a director came when she directed What Women Want, starring Mel Gibson.
Soon after, she directed the equally successful "Love with and without rules" (2003) and "Vacation on exchange" (2006). In 2010, the film "Simple Difficulties" was released, for which Nancy Meyers received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Screenplay.
