Born March 29, 1960, Oslo, Norway - Norwegian writer and musician, former economist, journalist, producer and composer.
Nesbo's mother worked as a librarian and the future writer developed an interest in literature early enough.
In his youth he was fond of football, and at the age of 17 he played for the football club Molde until he suffered a serious knee injury. Because of this hobby, the grades in the school were very mediocre, which did not allow me to enter the university. After leaving school, he served in the army for three years, where he was actively engaged in self-education. After completing his military service, Nesbo entered the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration as an economist.
After graduation he worked as a broker and journalist. In 1992 he co-founded the group Di Derre, which in 1994 with the album "Jenter & sann" took first place in Norway in terms of sales according to the VG-lista. In 1997, Nesbo's first book "Bat" was published, which received positive reviews from critics.
In 2008 he founded the Harry Hole Foundation, which aims to teach children in developing countries to read and write.
In October 2013, it was announced that Jo Nesbo, under the pseudonym Tom Johansen, had written at least three novels with the titles Blood on the Snow, More Blood on the Water and Abduction.
