Since 1950 performed in nightclubs in Las Vegas. Worked with Frank Sinatra. He became famous for his rude humor, ethnic jokes and anecdotes, often rude and offensive. Rickels was called The Merchant of Venom by analogy with Shylock. 1958 - debut in the movie en: Run Silent, Run Deep.
