Born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, Claudia Berry was a popular disco singer in the late 70s after a successful stage career that included roles in the musicals Cats and Catch My Soul. Her biggest hit was "Boogie Woogie Dancin 'Shoes", recorded in 1979.
