Born 7 August 1979, Athens, Greece - English actor, film director, producer, screenwriter and voice actor of Greek descent.
Grew up in the London area of ??Clapham (borough of Lambeth). Educated at Dulwich College. At the University of Edinburgh, he produced and executive produced the sold-out musical Grease at the George Square Theater, the proceeds of which were donated to the Macmillan Cancer Trust .
In 2002, shortly after earning an honors degree in international economic relations and finance, and helping his mother in London to open Urban Coffee, a Fair Trade and organic coffee shop in Tooting near Tooting Broadway Station ( Borough Wandsworth) of the London Underground, Simon has been spotted by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award winner Pierce Vellacott.
Cassianidis began his studies at the Central School of Stage Speech and Dramatic Arts at the University of London - an educational institution that is rightfully considered one of the most prestigious acting schools in Great Britain, but was forced to leave after he was offered a role in Tennessee Williams' play "Iguana Night". His role as Pedro was highly praised by critics.

In 2003, Michalis Kakoyanis, the director of the film "The Greek Zorba" (1964), founded the Michalis Kakoyanis Foundation, whose main activity is to promote the development of the national Greek theater arts and cinema.
In 2012, Kassianidis was appointed as a management consultant and representative of the Michalis Kakoyanis Foundation.
