Was born on August 18, 1967 in India. Mehndi was a student of traditional Punjabi music, but soon moved from classical music to pop and in 1995 his first album Bolo Ta Ra Ra became a record-breaking sales in India. It sold half a million copies in four months and 20 million copies in total, making it the best-selling non-soundtrack in Indian music history. Since 1995 he has recorded several successful albums in India.
