Maria Bonnevie is one of the most popular actresses at the Royal Drama Theater in Stockholm, on the stage of which she has appeared more than once in the dramas of Ibsen and Strindberg, directed by Ingmar Bergman. Winner of the Amanda Prize and the 2002 Montreal Festival Prize for Best Actress for the film I Am Dina, directed by Ole Bornedahl, based on Herbjorg Wassmu's novel Dina's Book. She played one of the main roles in the film by Andrey Zvyagintsev "The Exile" (2007). She was a jury member of the Karlovy Vary IFF (2009).
