Born March 4, 1965 - American actress.
At the age of eighteen she moved to Chicago to become a dancer. She soon decided to become an actress and began studying the profession, and then moved to Los Angeles, where from 1986 to 1988 she starred in the daytime soap opera Santa Barbara, which earned her a Soap Opera Digest nomination for Best Debut. After retiring from daytime soap, Edwards has appeared in several small movies, and also starred in the closed after one season of the series "Sons and Daughters" .
Edwards was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress for her role in the 1997 film In the Company of Men. Edwards is best known for her regular role in Chicago's Hope, where she starred from 1997 to 1999, over two seasons. In the 2000s, Edwards was mostly prominent for her guest roles on a variety of TV series such as Touched by an Angel, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds, The Lying Game and Grey's Anatomy.
