Born May 10, 1948 - American actress, known for her icy blue eyes.
Foster discovered a desire to act on stage while attending a boarding school in Lowell, Massachusetts. Prior to her debut in Empire Builders, she appeared at the Cornell Summer Theater in The Body of John Brown. After moving to Los Angeles, she got her first small roles in film and television. She made her film debut in 1970 in Adam at 6 AM, in which she played the small role of Michael Douglas's ex-girlfriend.
In 1981, the actress was nominated for a Genie Award for her role in the Canadian drama Ticket to Heaven. Many films followed, in which she played either a villain or a blind woman, such as Evel-Lin in Master of the Universe, a collaborationist in the service of aliens in Aliens Among Us, or a two-faced corporation in Leviathan. But there were also more positive roles, including the lesbian Stella Cook in Another Story, who falls in love with her “gay” flatmate.
On television, she has worked on The Tragedy of Guyana, Washington: Behind Closed Doors, Sunshine and many other series and films. Her biggest success was Cagney and Lacey, where she played detective Christina Cagney. But after the first six episodes, Foster was replaced by Sharon Gless. Series producer Barney Rosenzweig managed to partially rectify the situation by giving her the secondary role of the district attorney in "Rosie O'Neill Trial", where, ironically, the main role was played by Sharon Gless. Meg Foster also starred in the television series Xena, Warrior Princess and Hercules The Amazing Journeys, where she played Hera, the queen of the gods.
Foster was married to Canadian actor Stephen McHatty, who ended in divorce. In her free time, the actress is engaged in horse breeding at her ranch in northwestern Washington state.
