Born June 2, 1954 - American actor.
Graduated from the American Academy of Theater Arts. In the late 1970s, he began acting in television series such as Lou Grant, Team A, Private Detective Magnum, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. In 1989, he landed his first major film role, playing baseball player Pedro Serrano in Major League. This was followed by work in the films "Seals", "Mr. Baseball", "Field of Love" and others. In 1997, he landed the role of Agent Tim Collin in Clint Eastwood's thriller "Absolute Power" .
One of the actor's most famous works is the role of David Palmer in the TV series "24 Hours", which began filming in 2001. In the 2002 feature film Far From Paradise, he played the role of gardener Raymond Deegan, for which he won three American film awards at once. Haysbert also played Jonas Blaine, the protagonist of the Anti-Terror Squad. He plays the role of Nelson Mandela in the 2007 biographical drama Farewell Bafana. In 2011, he voiced the Master of the Raging Bull in the cartoon Kung Fu Panda 2. Haysbert acted as the voice actor for the computer games Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow, Call of Duty: Finest Hour and 24: The Game.
