Amandine Bourgeois - French singer, winner of the sixth season of the project "Nouvelle Star", the representative of France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
Born June 12, 1979 in Angouleme. She grew up with a stepfather who was a bass player. Amandine herself began to study music, studying theory from the age of 7 and the flute from the age of 9 at the Nice Conservatory. Already at the age of sixteen, Amandine Bourgeois "put together" her own rock group, which gave performances in French nightclubs. After studying hotel management, she temporarily pauses her musical career and goes to England, where she works as a waitress in elite hotels, with the goal of becoming a manager, but at 22 she returns to Toulouse and begins to study music again. Her first performances take place in Albi, Gaillac and Toulouse with the pop-rock band Tess and the funk-soul band Zia. In 2003 she became the backing vocalist for Helen Rolle. In 2005-2006 she played in the musical Le Casting and the rock opera The Wall.
In 2007, during the preparation for the show "Nouvelle Star" (French analogue of "Pop Idol"), the organizers contacted her, who noted the girl from the records that she posted on her Myspace profile. She decides to take part in the competition and goes from the beginning - the jury audition in Toulouse in November 2007, to the end - the final on June 11, 2008, when she wins the title of the winner and receives as a prize a contract with Sony Music to record an album. In the same year, together with other project participants, she takes part in a tour of various cities in France.
