Holland, still famous for its achievements in the field of club culture and electronics, can now be proud of the fact that a real rock band was born on its expanses, capable of staking out not the last place in rock and roll history in the near future.
Kane was founded in 1998 by two school friends - Dinand Woesthoff - vocals, guitar and Dennis van Leeuwen - guitar, with the release of their debut album "As Long As You Want This" they soon became real superstars at yourself at home. In addition to the aforementioned personalities, Kane also includes: guitarist Paul Jan Bakker, bassist Aram Kersbergen, drummer Martijn Bosman, Ronald Kool and Reyn on keyboards.
"So Glad You Made It" is Kane's second full-length release, recorded in the best traditions of the new wave of rock music of the late 80s, directly intersecting with the works of the giants from U2 and INXS, whose worthy successors the musicians from the Netherlands are. Well, of course, it is worth mentioning the "fathers" from the Rolling Stones - where can we go without them.
Beautiful, sometimes even pretentious, mainstream melodies saturated with excellent guitar technique (the lion's share of the disc is given to slow compositions), Westhoff's serious vocals (without imaginary posturing and pretentiousness), plus thoughtful lyrics make Kane one of the interesting groups in the modern music community.
