In 1989 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Odessa University and in the same year entered the Faculty of Theater Studies of LGITMiK, now the Russian Academy of Theater Arts in St. Petersburg, from which he graduated in 1997.
Since 1996 he has been working in the CTB Film Company (film company). During 1996-1999 he was the director of the "Cinema Line" program on the ORT TV channel. In 1999, the program received the prize of the White Pillars Festival (Gosfilmofond) as the best program about cinema. Author of the cycle "Pushkin.
