Born on September 6, 1970 in Austin, Texas. is the vocalist and songwriter of the Old 97's rock and roll quartet. He graduated from St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas in 1989. While still in high school, he recorded his first solo, released on the Carpe Diem label, then formed Sleepy Heroes, which released one CD - Under A Radio Sun - and quickly disbanded.
