Born December 29, 1969, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA is a British-American film and theater actress.

Already at the age of three, she made her stage debut with her mother, who played the role of Blanche Dubois in the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire.

Jennifer's childhood was spent in the UK and the USA. She changed 18 schools, among which was the Academy of Arts in Interloshen (Michigan). Jennifer studied drama at the North Carolina School of the Arts and London Central School of Speech and Drama.

In 1992, director Peter Hall recruited Jennifer Ehle in a television adaptation of Mary Wesley's novel The Camomile Lawn. In the series, Jennifer and her mother played the same role, but at a different age of the character. This series, released by the British television channel Channel 4, tells the story of the fate of a family of cousins ??from 1939 to the modern period.

Jennifer Ehl also played a minor role in The King's Speech, which was released in late 2010. Her character is Myrtle Log (wife of Lionel Log). In 2015, the movie Fifty Shades of Gray, based on the novel of the same name, was released, in which Jennifer tried on the image of Carla Mae Wilkes, the mother of the protagonist.
