An abbreviation for "Nique Ta Mere", which literally means "** your mother" - a curse that teens often heard in their address from the neighboring windows. The label, recording the band, insisted on the "Supreme" prefix.
The band's origins were Kool Shen (real name Bruno Lopez, French Bruno Lopes), Joey Starr (real name Didier Morville, French Didier Morville) and a DJ named DJ's. Bruno and Didier were born in 1968, DJ's are two years older than them. They grew up in Saint-Denis, the most criminal and impoverished area of ??Paris. Bruno and Didier went to school together, discovered hip-hop culture together.
