American rock band from Ellinsburg, Washington, which existed from 1985 to 2000. The original line-up included Mark Lanegan at the microphone, Gary Lee Conner with the guitar, his brother Van Conner with the bass, and Mark Pickerel at the drum kit. Pickerel was soon replaced by Barrett Martin and in this composition the team released their most successful works. Screaming Trees has eight studio albums, four mini-albums and seven singles. The genre can be described as grunge with elements of psychedelic music and hard rock.
