Born December 4, 1955 in Moscow. In 1983 he graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School as an artist-technologist. He worked as a set designer and costume designer in Moscow theaters, collaborated with Pushkin, Central Children's Theater, Sovremennik and Obraztsov Theater. In 1990 he moved to Norway. He founded the animation studio Magica in Oslo, and in 2001, together with David Reiss-Andersen and Mikkel Sandemose, Pravda Productions (since 2004 - Kinopravda), which is creating and producing animated films.
