David Lvovich Volosov-Merin is a Soviet theater and film actor. Born on April 23 (according to another version - September 16) 1905 in the small town of Tsaritsyno (Saratov region, Russian Empire). The real surname is Merin, but because of the euphonious pronunciation he took - Volosov. Subsequently, the surname became double, in particular, this is exactly what is written on the granite slab on the grave of David Lvovich. He died on September 19, 1971, was buried at the Serafimovskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg.
David Volosov-Merin received his acting education at the theater studio of the Kazan Bolshoi Drama Theater. On the stage of this oldest theater in Russia, he made his debut as an actor.
