Alexey Shelmanov - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born September 14, 1955. In 1972-78 he studied at the Moscow Architectural Institute, in 1982-84 - at the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Directors (workshop of F.S. Khitruk and R.A. Kachanov). In 1978-82 he worked as an architect at MNIIP, in 1985-98 as a director at the Soyuzmultfilm studio, in 1998-2006 as a director at the Argus studio. He directed several films together with A.M. Turkus. Since 1986 he has been engaged in illustrating children's books. He passed away on May 1, 2011 in Moscow.
