American rock band. It was formed in 2002 in Denver, Colorado, USA. The founders of the group, Joe King and Isaac Slade, have known each other since their school years. The fact that they began to play was very much liked by Slade's acquaintances from his previous band, Ben Wysotsky and Dave Welch. After the two joined the project, the group was formed. Many believe that the name The Fray (fight, skirmish) stuck with the band after conflicts began to arise between the musicians in the process of writing songs. Everyone was very musically savvy and were friends with their instruments from an early age, so each member of The Fray was actively involved in the creative process. The guys quickly won the love of local music lovers, excellently performing their songs live. Back in early 2004, only a few knew about them. In December of the same year, they easily gathered up to five hundred people at their performances, and in the summer of 2005 the guys went on tour with seasoned rockers Weezer.
