Born October 25, 1970 in Santa Monica, California, and raised near Miami Beach, the son of Donna (nee Goebel) and Earl Goldberg. His father was Jewish, and his mother was Roman Catholic, of Irish, French and German roots. After watching Shakespeare's school drama, Goldberg became interested in show business and began studying acting at various workshops at an early age. He was heavily involved in campus theater productions while attending Sarah Lawrence College.
