Graduated from VGIK. Painter, set designer, film designer. Born in Kazakhstan, studied in Ukraine, Dagestan, Moscow, exhibited in London, Toronto, Riga, Vilnius, where the artist has lived for a long time. Yuri Grigorovich's paintings are in private collections around the world: from the USA to Morocco, in most Scandinavian countries, in France, Germany and, of course, in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine. Yuri Grigorovich, a graduate of VGIK, is no less famous as an extremely talented and highly professional film designer. His works were awarded the prestigious American television Emmy Award - a television analogue of the Oscar, the ITSADC Peer Awards, the Jewish Eye 2007 prize, were nominated for the Russian NIKU, and several awards from the Lithuanian Filmmakers Union.
Yuri Grigorovich worked with the best Lithuanian, Russian and Western directors. One of them, Audrius Stonis, admits that Yuri Grigorovich often creates a reality with his unexpected visual solution, "in which the work of a director, actors, sound engineer, artist and the whole group becomes a single finished cinematic picture."
