Elizabeth Stamatina Fey was born on May 18, 1970 in Upper Durby to Donald Fey and Zenobia Fey. Tina has an older brother - Peter Fey (born 1962). Tina has German, Scottish and Greek roots. Fey from early childhood was interested in theater and cinema, especially in the comedy genre. This interest was encouraged by the parents.
Tina graduated from high school in 1988, during which she attended the drama club, sang in the choir, played for the tennis team, and wrote her column in the wall newspaper. Fey graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1992 with a BA in Theater Arts.
