Yuri Norshtein - biography, date of birth, place of birth, filmography, clips.
Born on September 15, 1941 in the village of Andreevka, Golovischensky district of the Penza region, where his parents were evacuated. His father, having received only a primary heder education, worked as an adjuster of woodworking machines, his mother was a teacher in a kindergarten. He grew up in Moscow, in Maryina Roshcha. After graduating from two-year animation courses, in 1961 he got a job at the Soyuzmultfilm film studio. As an animator, he worked with the famous director Ivan Ivanov-Vano.
In 1968, Norstein made his debut with the cartoon "The 25th, First Day".
