Born November 2, 1952. Michel Bougena spent his early childhood in Tunisia. His father, Joseph Buzhena, is a doctor. In 1963, at the age of 11, he moved to France with his parents and settled in the city of Bagneux, a modest suburb south of Paris. He suffered greatly from a break with his native land and his culture.
In 1967, at the age of 15, he decided to pursue his childhood dream of becoming an actor. He came to the theater of the Alsatian school of the sixth arrondissement of Paris. After graduation, he passed a competition at the Graduate School of Dramatic Arts of the National Theater in Strasbourg.
