Jacob Ericsson's mother worked in the theater, and Jacob himself decided to try it himself. He played roles in performances and at the same time received an economic education at the gymnasium. Later, Jacob moved to Stockholm, where he continued to engage in theatrical activities. He studied at the theater school in Gothenburg, graduated in 1993. For some time he worked in Gothenburg, then came back to Stockholm. In 1994, Ericsson began his film career.
