One of the most famous Danish filmmakers. Born on November 29, 1924. His career began in 1946 at the Nordisk Film studio. His film debut was the film "Adam and Eve" (Adam og Eva, 1953), and four years later he headed the studio, becoming the youngest leader in its history. His comedies Hit First, Freddie (Sla forst, Frede, 1965) and Relax, Freddie (Slap af, Frede! 1966) were a resounding success in Europe and were shown in the USSR as well. However, the greatest fame came to him as a director of comedy films about the Olsen Gang.
