Was born on October 8, 1963 in Ulyanovsk.
In 1986 he graduated from the Polytechnic Institute. He worked as a foreman at a factory, as a designer, served as an officer in the army, was a screenwriter and director of theater and television.
In 1996 he moved to Moscow, graduated from the workshop of V. Khotinenko.
Since 1997, he worked as deputy director for the site, assistant director, screenwriter and co-director. He directed several documentaries as a production director.
Since 2003 he has been a director of feature films.

Since 2009 - Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation
