In 1970 he graduated from the acting department of the Vilnius Conservatory. In 1970-1993. works at the Lithuanian State Youth Theater in Vilnius. Since 1994 he has been teaching at the Lithuanian Conservatory (acting department), since 1998 - dean of the acting department, since 2003 professor.
