Born September 21, 1945 in Detroit into a family of Jewish immigrants from Germany. Graduated from Arizona State University, started working in the advertising business. Since the early 1980s he has been working as a film producer. Together with Don Simpson, they produced high-budget films for the Paramount Pictures film company. He has produced 69 films to date.
