American rock band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 1982. Throughout most of its existence, the band consisted of guitarist Woody Weseman, bassist Mike Dean (who left the band in 1987 and returned 6 years later), drummer Reed Malin (who left the group in 2001 and returned 9 years later) and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Peiper Keenan (who joined the band in 1989). After a hiatus from 2006 in music in 2006, Corrosion of Conformity returned in 2010, but without Keenan. To date, COC have released 7 studio albums, 2 mini-albums, one compilation album and one live album. The group gained recognition in 1994. Corrosion of Conformity is currently working on a new album for a 2013 release.
