Godfather of Soul, Mr. Please Please Please and Mr. Dynamite, as he called himself. Has worked in genres such as gospel, rhythm and blues, funk. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked him the seventh Greatest Musician of the Rock and Roll Era.
