Alex O'Loughlen (Alexander O'Loughlin before changing his surname to a more euphonious version, and also in honor of his grandfather) was born on August 24, 1976 (exactly the year is unknown) in Canberra, Australia. He received his acting education at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), located in Sydney.
