1904-1983, Ukrainian Soviet poet, translator, publicist and public figure. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR (1951). Hero of Socialist Labor (1974). Laureate of the Lenin Prize (1982) and two Stalin Prizes of the second degree (1946, 1949). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1940.
