Born on February 29, 1912 in Kiev.
He received his musical education at the workers' faculty at the Lysenko Institute of Music and Drama, and then at the music school and at the Kiev Conservatory in the class of theory and composition from Professor Lev Revutsky.
The composer was recognized by his operettas "I Wish You Happiness" and "A Guest from Vienna", and popularity - the operetta "The Girl and the Sea", which was staged on the stages of many theaters in Ukraine and abroad, as well as on which a film was shot.
Honored Artist of the Ukrainian SSR (1972).
People's Artist of Ukraine.
Passed away on February 11, 2008.
