Born on May 7, 1941 in Yerevan. Son of cameraman Sergei (Sarkis) Gevorkyan. Graduated from the camera department of VGIK (1963, workshop of B. Volchek), VKSR (1967, workshop of L. Trauberg). He worked at the "Armenfilm" cinema, shot D. Kesayants' graduation film "Master and Servant" (1963). The author of the script "All our hope" (with V. Arkhangelsky) and others. In 1993 he created the "Navigator" studio to create the "New Armenian Chronicle".
