Born on March 8, 1940 in Kiev. Graduated from the Odessa Theater and Art School (1959), the directing department of VGIK (1965, workshop of Yu. Genika) .
Since 1965 - director of the Kiev Film Studio named after A.P. Dovzhenko.
He passed away on September 16, 2001 in Kiev. Buried at the Baikovo cemetery in Kiev.
