Graduated from the correspondence department of the Lunacharsky Moscow Theater Institute.
Since 1966 - actor and director (since 1986) of the Kaunas Drama Theater.
In 1974 he graduated from GITIS (in absentia).
In 1994-1996 he was the head of Kaunas Theater School.
The last role of Viktoras Shinkaryukas was the role of Svidrigailov in the play "Crime and Punishment" directed by Gintaras Varnas at the Kaunas State Drama Theater.
