Elina, a Romanian actress, was born on July 11, 1966 in Bucharest.
She left her homeland at age 14 to settle in the United States. She studied theater at Michigan State University and New York at the Horizon School of Drama to star in three Hal Hartley films before being seen in other roles, most notably in France.
In 2006 she starred in Le Cas de Sophie K at the Chaillot Theater.
