In post-war Soviet cinema, great importance was attached to the image of a Red Army soldier who won a great victory. This is not surprising, since the war has affected every inhabitant of a large country. But life is one thing, and the artistic embodiment of the image of the victorious country is quite another. It required masters who could portray heroes so believably that the viewer would not have any doubts about the authenticity of the plot. One of these actors was Dmitry Dubov. Even before the war, he graduated from the Shchepkinskoe School, and after that he was a direct participant in the events of 1941-45.

Dmitry was born in Petrograd, a year after the well-known revolution. Almost nothing is known about his childhood. However, knowing the history of those years, the childhood years did not leave anything bright and memorable. The engineer father was arrested in the 1920s, before the mass repressions. Mother, in order to save herself and her son, married a simple worker, who soon rose to the top level. And in the ominous 1937, Dmitry graduated from a ten-year school and entered the theater school, from which he graduated four years later.

The theater stage was no longer waiting for our hero. First, he served in an artillery school, then the defense of Moscow, and only in 1943 Dubov was transferred to the amateur ensemble of the Red Army air defense, with which he reached Berlin.

The first roles of Dmitry Dubov took place already at the end of 1945 at the Theater of the Film Actor, where he worked for almost ten years, albeit with a five-year break, when the actor served in the Theater of Satire. Dmitry quickly found himself in the cinema, embodying the images of cheerful and characteristic Red Army soldiers. His debut tape was the film The Tale of the Furious, directed by the famous Vasily Ivanovich Boris Babochkin. And after that, films with the participation of Dmitry Dubov enjoyed success with moviegoers. Such tapes as The Fall of Berlin, Wedding with a dowry, One fine day, Over the Tissa, When the nightingales sing, entered the golden fund of national cinema.

Dubov's repertoire included many programs in which he performed as a reader. He also worked as a dubbing actor. After leaving the theater in 1959, he moved to the Gorky Film Studio, where he worked until his last days.

By the mid-60s, the actor began to have health problems. I had to give up filming a lot. He played his last role a few days before his death, in the famous film by Jan Fraz I Loved You, but she was included in the finished film. And at the end of June 1967, the actor had a second heart attack, which finally undermined the already weak state of our hero. On June 30, Dmitry Dubov passed away.

Dmitry Dubov has gray eyes, naturally blond hair color, fair skin, and thin lips. The shape of the face is round, the hair is straight, hard. Dmitry Dubov did not change his hair color, preferring natural. The actor has a medium straight nose and a rounded chin.
